Floral Clock

Located behind the Kentucky State Capitol, the Floral Clock was dedicated in 1961 by Kentucky Governor Bert T. Combs. The clock was a joint project by the state government and the Garden Club of Kentucky and was inspired by a similar clock in Edinburgh. The floral clock is made up of 10,000 plants with the word Kentucky spelled out in large letters.
