Loudoun House

The Loudon House was built in 1850 for Francis Key Hunt, cousin to Francis Scott Key and son of John Wesley Hunt, the first millionaire west of the Appalachian Mountains. The home was built on 50 acres of land given to Hunt. By 1884, the Loudon House was purchased by Colonel William Cassius Goodloe, an ambassador to Belgium
