LEXINGTON -- VisitLEX today announced it has filled two key positions to improve community engagement and advocate for tourism opportunities.

VisitLEX has promoted Arin Arnold-Davis to become its first director of destination stewardship and community engagement.

In this new role, Arnold-Davis will develop and implement VisitLEX’s destination stewardship strategy. She will develop visitor experiences through collaboration with various city agencies and businesses, community partners and residents in an effort to drive positive economic growth and quality of life.

Among her duties will be to develop, manage and contribute to projects and experiences that align with or expand the destination’s sustainability and accessibility initiatives, while helping enhance Lexington’s sense of place and belonging.

She also will assist in community outreach efforts that foster destination development and tourism infrastructure.

Arnold-Davis has been with VisitLEX for more than 6 years, most recently as a project manager for database and website management, accessibility, and sustainability in tourism.

She has a master of arts degree from the University of Kentucky and a professional certificate in sustainable tourism from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.

In addition, VisitLEX hired Bobbi McSwine as tourism engagement manager to advocate for tourism development opportunities and initiatives that advance the destination. In her role, McSwine will serve as the primary VisitLEX liaison to tourism stakeholders to support the creation and implementation of new, enhanced and expanded destination assets and offerings.

She will build and manage relationships within the tourism industry -- educating partners about the role, resources and benefits of VisitLEX as well as identifying opportunities for ways VisitLEX can further support tourism initiatives.

McSwine previously served as communications and social media manager for the Kentucky Derby Museum. Prior to that role, she was a multimedia journalist for WHAS in Louisville and WTVQ in Lexington.

McSwine has a bachelor of science degree in journalism from the University of Illinois.
