Hotels throughout Lexington fill quickly during Breeders’ Cup, so we recommend booking accommodations as early as possible. Whether you’re looking for a downtown hotel or a boutique stay, you’ll find plenty of options just minutes from Keeneland.

Lexington is easy to navigate by car, rideshare like Uber or Lyft, or public transportation. Blue Grass Airport offers rental car options and is located about 15 minutes from downtown. Our free LexRide downtown shuttle makes exploring the city’s districts and neighborhoods easy once you arrive. 

Blue Grass Airport, located directly across the street from Keeneland, is the easiest way to get to Lexington for the Breeders’ Cup. The airport offers regular nonstop flights to 18 cities, as well as special nonstop service to and from Boston, JFK, Los Angeles, Miami and Phoenix during the Breeders’ Cup. For additional flight options, the Louisville airport (SDF) and Cincinnati airport (CVG) are each only an hour and a half away. 

While most areas outside the Clubhouse and Paddock Building have no formal dress code, fans are encouraged to wear business casual or smart casual attire suitable for a globally televised event.
