Pilot Knob Nature Preserve
-
Widely believed to be where Daniel Boone first stood and looked over the Bluegrass region of Kentucky, Pilot Knob is a 750-acre nature preserve northeast of Lexington. A sandstone outcrop leads to sweeping views over the region. Hike the 1.25 miles to the top to be rewarded with one of the best views in the area.
