Gatton Park on the Town Branch

Adjacent to iconic Rupp Arena, Gatton Park on the Town Branch (Gatton Park) will be Lexington’s first and only conservancy-led green space. By repurposing a 9+-acre parking lot and restoring the waters around which Lexington historically developed, the park will be a destination reflective of Lexington’s rich culture, where residents and visitors enjoy performances, art installations, educational programs, one-of-a-kind children’s play areas, interactive water features, a dog park, native plants and gardens, and local food and beverages along the expanded Town Branch Creek. Gatton Park will connect over 22 miles of uninterrupted bike and pedestrian paths, knitting together the urban core to Lexington’s iconic countryside. But, as important as that is—for health, transportation and recreation—Gatton Park will be connecting something even more meaningful—its people.
