Foodchain forges a link between community and fresh food with education and demonstrations of sustainable food systems. Located in the same complex as West Sixth Brewing and Smithtown Seafood, Foodchain has an indoor aquaponics farm that you can tour. Spend an hour learning about the tilapia and greens they grow that use the waste from organism as feed for the other. Tours last about an hour. This is a great activity for families with kids 4 and up!
