Coleman Crest Farm, Kentucky’s first African American owned USDA Certified Organic Produce Farm. Nestled in the historic Hamlet of Uttingertown, less than seven miles from downtown Lexington, this pristine 13-acre farm has a legacy dating back 136 years. The farm was purchased from John and Mary Darnaby by the Coleman Family’s Patriarch, James Coleman, for $1,200 on March 27, 1888, symbolizing a story of resilience and tradition.
