This privately owned museum located on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park is a colorful and contemporary showcase of the American Saddlebred, Kentucky's native breed of horse. The Museum houses the largest collection of Saddlebred artifacts in the world including trophies, photographs, tack, artwork and a library of over 2,400 volumes used for bloodline and genealogical research.
Open Memorial Day to Labor Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. (Closed New Years Day, Thanksgiving Eve and Day, and December 24 & 25.) Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, November to mid-March. Open for group tours by appointment.
