YOUR WAIST SIZE IS NOT YOUR BELT SIZE

Please following one of the measuring options below to find your belt size. Our belts are custom made so our sizing is different than other belts you may have previously purchased. Our belts are sized with not a lot of left over leather on the tip, so that your name plate will never be covered no matter what hole you wear the belt in! These custom made per order, not following one of the options below will result in an improper belt size. There is a restock fee for items sent back to be remade. Feel free to email us at sales@centralkentuckytackandleather.com or call us at 859-299-8225 if you need assistance, we are happy to help!

How To Measure For A Belt

 OPTION 1

How To Measure Using A Belt You Already Have

belt size

Measure from the OUTSIDE edge of the buckle to the hole you use the most. (to the nearest inch)
Note: If your measurements end up to be in between inch marks you should round it off to the next larger inch mark.

OPTION 2

Using Pant sizes

The easiest way to get the proper size for a new belt is to add 4 inches to your pant size.

Example: A man who wears a size 34" pant would order a 38" belt. The 38" will be the center hole on your new belt. Giving you 2 holes on either side for adjustments. However, if you are ordering a 1 1/2" wide (our widest belt)  you should add 6" to pant size to make up for the thickness of the belt.

*Women are a little different on pant sizes. ( a size 6 would be around a 28" waist) So it is best to use option 1 or 3 to get the best measurement for a lady.

*Same goes for children, please use option 1 or 3 for children's belts. Child's belts are made with room to grow. You measurement will be the first hole on the belt, giving the child about 4 extra     holes to grow.

OPTION 3

Using a Measuring Tape

To find your belt size, use a cloth measuring tape and place it through the belt loops on your pants while wearing them and pull it to. Where the measuring tape connects is the actual measurement of you new belt size.
Note: If your measurements end up to be in between inch marks you should round it off to the next larger inch mark.
