Living Arts & Science Center

-
The Living Arts and Sciences Center is located in the historic Kinkead House, built in 1847. George B. Kinkead was an abolitionist, Kentucky's Secretary of State, and a lawyer to Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln. He developed a neighborhood for freed African Americans on the land he acquired adjacent to his house. This area came to be known as Kinkeadtown. To learn more about Kinkead and Kinkeadtown, take the East End leg of the African American Heritage Tour.
