Located in Lexington’s historic Distillery District, The Burl began its life in 1926 as a working loading dock. Since hosting its first live show in July 2016, it has grown into one of the most active and beloved music venues in the commonwealth, now welcoming hundreds of nights of live performances each year.

As its reputation has expanded, so has the experience. What was once an old garage on the property has been reimagined as The Burl Arcade, featuring a vibrant mix of pinball machines, classic cabinets, and games that bring people together before and after shows.

Today, The Burl continues to evolve as a gathering place for local communities and music lovers alike—offering both intimate indoor performances and a spacious outdoor stage that allows even more fans to share in the energy.
