2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration

The 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration will take place Monday, Jan. 19, beginning with the annual Freedom March at 1 p.m. and followed by the commemorative program at 2 p.m. at the Central Bank Center. Line-up begins as early as 12 p.m. in Central Bank Center lobby - High Street entrance. 

This year’s theme — “The Right to Live, The Right to Choose: Health, Ballots & The Beloved Community” — invites the Lexington community to reflect on King’s vision through the lens of public health, voting rights and the ongoing pursuit of a just and compassionate society.
