Cycling enthusiasts, be sure to ride the Legacy Trail that connects the Isaac Murphy Memorial Art Garden in the East End of Lexington to the Kentucky Horse Park. Enjoy public art installations along the way. At the Marriott Griffin Gate Resort Golf Shop, visitors may rent a bike for a full or half day. From the Marriott, you have easy access to the Legacy Trail. Call (859) 288-6193. Bikes are due back by 6:00 p.m.
Pick up the Bike Lexington map, produced by the Lexington Fayette Urban County government, at The Lexington Visitors Center on Main Street. It has great suggestions for back road scenic routes developed by local cyclers. You can also request one online from LFUCG or call them at (859) 258-3605.

Interested in doing the Kentucky Bourbon Trail on your bike? The Kentucky Distillers Association put together some excellent resources and suggest itineraries for an alternative way to experience our legendary distilleries and landscapes. If you use your bike as your primary mode of transportation during your visit, be sure to explore all the resources at Bike/Walk Lexington for safety information, maps showing bike lanes throughout the city, and more! Bike racks are installed throughout the downtown area for your convenience. The "post and loop" style racks are designed to secure two bicycles when parked parallel to the ring.
