Did you know, for instance that, in fact, it wasn’t the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. The Second Annual Bluegrass Craft Beer Festival

Saturday May 8, 2010

Go, Dog. Go!

2010 Mayfest Arts Fair

Saturday May 8, 2010 - Sunday May 9, 2010

Mayfest is a juried art fair with a focus on casual, family-friendly atmosphere.  Included are up to 100 Artist Vendors, Young Artists, Demonstrating Artists and Activity Artists, performances by musicians, dancers, strolling performers and children's activities.  Time:  Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The festival is FREE and open to the public.  Historic Gratz Park sits between Mill Street and Market Street.

Decorators' Showcase 2010

The Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass is proud to announce the 22nd Decorator's Showcase at Glen Lary Farm, a historic, privately-owned home and horse farm in Paris, Kentucky.  All proceeds from the Showcase will benefit NHOA.  Showcase:  Tuesday - Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Showcase: Sunday 12 noon to 4 p.m.  Sunday lunch is served from 12 noon to 2 p.m.   316 Austerlitz Road.

Sheep Shearing at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill

Saturday May 1, 2010 - Saturday May 22, 2010

Visit the farm and see the shearing of the sheep.  Also, learn how the Shakers created colorful wool shawls and other textiles through spinning and weaving demonstrations.  Admission is included in regular tour admission:  $15.  Village Hours:  10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  3501 Lexington Road, Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
