When you are in Lexington, be sure to stop by and see us at our downtown Visitor Center, 301 East Vine Street. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the summer months we are also open on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.. If you come after business hours, look for the bird box to the right of the front door. You'll find maps and Visitor Guides there.

Directions from the North, from Cincinnati via I-75 Southbound .....

I-75 merges with I-64 just north of Lexington. After the interstates merge, take the first Lexington exit you come to: Exit 115 (Newtown Pike). At the end of the exit ramp turn right and travel towards downtown Lexington.

Continue on Newtown Pike until you come to the intersection of Newtown Pike and Main Street. There are tombstone companies to your left and right (as you are near the Lexington Cemetery). Turn left onto Main Street.

After two blocks, at Triangle Park, Main Street will become Vine Street and is now a one- way street.

Travel six blocks on Vine Street to the intersection of Vine Street and Rose Street. (Note: Don't stay in the far left lane for the first three blocks; it will force you to turn on North Limestone before you reach the Visitor's Center.)

The Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau is on the left side of the street just after you pass through the intersection. The parking lot is just before the building. You will be looking for a one-story cream-colored building with colorful banners along the roof line.

From I 75/64 the North Broadway exit is Exit 113.

At the end of the exit ramp, follow the signs "to Lexington"

Follow North Broadway into downtown Lexington (about 3 miles). As you come into the downtown area, after you pass Transylvania University, start looking for Short Street. The Lexington Opera House will be on your right.

Turn left onto Short Street (one-way) and travel two blocks to Upper St.

Turn right onto Upper Street (one-way)

Travel two blocks to the intersection of Upper and Vine Streets.

Turn left onto Vine (one-way).

Follow Vine to the intersection of Vine Street and Rose Streets.

As you are traveling east on I-64 it merges with I-75 (North/South interstate).

After the two interstates merge, take the first Lexington exit you come to: Exit 115 (Newtown Pike).

For the most direct route, take the first Lexington exit: Exit 104

Follow the signs "to Lexington", taking a left at the end of the exit ramp. You are coming in on Richmond Road

After approximately 6 miles, you have reached downtown Lexington, and the famous Thoroughbred Park is to your right with its bronze horse statues. At this point, Main Street becomes one-way and it is important that you are in the far left lane .

Turn left onto Rose Street just past Thoroughbred Park

At the traffic light, turn left again onto East Vine Street and immediately left again into our parking lot.

Directions from Blue Grass Airport .....

The Visitors Center is 6.2 miles from the airport. From the exit of the airport, turn left on to Man O War Boulevard.

Turn right at the light onto US 60, Versailles Road.

Follow Versailles Road. After approximately four miles, the road curves to the right and becomes West Maxwell, a one-way street.

At the traffic light, turn left onto Broadway and move into the right hand lane. Stay on Broadway for two blocks and turn right at the bottom of the hill onto West Vine Street, a one-way street.

Travel six blocks on Vine Street to the intersection of Vine Street and Rose Street. (Note: Don't stay in the far left lane for the first three blocks; it will force you to turn on North Limestone before you reach the Visitor's Center.)
