BLUEGRASS FLAVORS AND FEEL: 

Time Sensitive: I come to you this morning with an important mini-post that could be a tweet if I got the concept of brevity.

In any case, tomorrow evening, September 22, at 7:00 is a red-letter day for local and visiting foodists: Ruth Reichl will be the keynote speaker at the Kentucky Women Writers Conference.

The event, being held on the University of Kentucky campus at the Worsham Theatre, will be free and open to the public. Reichl will talk about the place of food in the past and in our world today. There will be a follow-up question-and-answer session moderated by Bluegrass Chef Extraordinaire, Ouita Michel.

Reichl is brilliant and always engaging, whether in interviews or as a judge on Bravo's Top Chef, both in her hard-copy books and her virtual presence. Check out her website:
