Site of the famous Cane Ridge revival of 1801, when 20,000 to 30,000 people assembled for a camp meeting that had a profound influence on American and frontier religion. The original meeting house, built in 1791, is enclosed in a stone building and is the largest one-room log structure in the United States. There is also a museum building and pioneer graveyard on the 5-acre area. Picnic areas are located on the grounds.

African American soldiers constructed this fort in 1863 to protect the Kentucky River ford and ferry at Boonesboro from Confederate invasions. Visit the remnants of the earthen work fortifications on a one mile (round trip) self-guided tour.

This three-story stone tavern was built in 1788 by Major Joseph Duncan. Located in a prominent position on courthouse square, the tavern served as a gathering place for local citizens and travelers including early pioneers Daniel Boone, Simon Kenton and Michael Stoner.

Dr. Ephraim McDowell made medical history here on Christmas morning, 1809, when he successfully removed an ovarian tumor from Jane Todd Crawford. This was the first such surgery in the world. The house includes period furnishings and an apothecary shop with a fascinating collection of early pharmaceutical and medical equipment.

This reconstructed pioneer fort commemorates the first permanent settlement west of the Alleghenies,built by James Harrod near this site in 1774. The cabins include authentic pioneer furniture and crafts people in pioneer dress demonstrate such skills as blacksmithing, quilting and dollmaking. The park also includes a pioneer cemetery; the Mansion Museum with Civil War and Indian displays; and the cabin in which Abraham Lincoln's parents were married.

Perryville Battlefield is the site of Kentucky's bloodiest, and most important, Civil War battle. The battle marked a fatal loss of the initiative for the South. The battle is re-enacted each October. Throughout the year, living history activities with costumed interpreters are scheduled.

The plant began production in 1988 and is Toyota's largest production plant in North America. During tours, a tram carries visitors through the Stamping, Body Weld and Assembly sections of the plant. You can also explore the Visitors Center, where interactive exhibits explain the Toyota production system and philosophies.

Cassius Marcellus Clay was one of the Bluegrass region's most colorful 19th-century personalities and was known as the "Lion of White Hall". He was an outspoken abolitionist, newspaper publisher, U.S. Minister to Russia, and friend of Abraham Lincoln. His home, an elaborate Italianate mansion, had central heating and indoor plumbing in the mid-19th century, an unusual feature for its time, and is furnished with many original Clay family items.

In 1893, bourbon from this distillery was selected from over 400 whiskeys to represent Kentucky at the World's Fair. The same fine 101 proof Wild Turkey bourbon is still made today. Visitors will tour the fermentation and bottling areas as well as timbered warehouses to experience the sites, sounds and smells of a working distillery.

One of the first brick homes built west of the Alleghney Mountains and the site of the first circular racetrack in the nation. Called the "Guardian of Wilderness Road," the house was a gathering spot for early Kentuckians, including George Rogers Clark and Daniel Boone.
