VisitLEX Launches Brand New Website
Lexington, KY: VisitLEX debuts a fresh and visually stunning new website reflective of the recent name change as well as refocused branding efforts. In January, the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau officially became VisitLEX and introduced a new logo. The new name and logo represent the history and tradition of Lexington while allowing new opportunities to share the diversity, confidence, prosperity, and all-embracing attitude of our growing community.
The most noticeable change to visitlex.com is the abundant use of stunning photography and clean white space designed to illustrate the VisitLEX brand experience as peerless, confident, time-honored, cultivate, and magnetic. The homepage features a mosaic that introduces users to the six VisitLEX core areas of interest: equestrian, leisure, bourbon, convene, feast and heritage. Each of the areas offer all the great content, maps and planning tools you would expect, as well as gorgeous photography. The site also incorporates social media feeds, videos and blogs that further define the premier places to eat, shop, play, stay and explore.
Lu Ann Pelle, Director of Information Services and project manager for the new site, recently stated: "I'm incredibly pleased to introduce our new site - it is a direct reflection of our new branding elements. The clean layout and design draws attention to Lexington's natural beauty, charm and sophistication while providing ease of navigation for the robust amount of information we provide users. Our new site is the premier planning tour for vacationing or meeting in Lexington!"
Jim Browder, VisitLEX President, said: "Lexington is a visually stunning and charming destination, unlike any other in the world. The old quote, a picture is worth a thousand words, is an understatement with respect to the landscape photography featured on our new site. While it is visually captivating, much like our landscape, it is also full of an incredible amount of information useful to leisure visitors, meeting planners, media and convention attendees."
VisitLEX is a destination sales and service organization charged with distilling the spirit of Lexington's Bluegrass Region and "Horse Capital of the World" to champion the brand, generate economic benefit and serve as a role model and educator. For more information: www.visitlex.com
