VisitLEX Announces New Convention Services Manager
Lexington, Kentucky-VisitLEX is pleased to announce Lindsay Vance has been named convention services manager for the organization. Primary responsibilities will include serving as an additional point of contact for meeting planners hosting events in Lexington, assisting with attendance building and partnering with the sales team to rebook convention business.
Lindsay joined VisitLEX in January of 2015 as an intern while attending the University of Kentucky. At the conclusion of her internship, she was hired and has continued to serve VisitLEX as part-time Marketing Assistant at VisitLEX. Prior to her internship with VisitLEX, Lindsay also gained valuable hospitality experience by working at Home2Suites, Keeneland, and The Maker's Mark Secretariat Center.
Lindsay began her role as convention services manager in a part-time capacity on March 16th. After graduating in May with dual degrees in Hospitality Management and Tourism and Equine Science and Management, she will begin her full-time role with VisitLEX.
Marci Krueger, vice president of sales and services stated: The number of meetings and convention groups coming to Lexington is on the rise and VisitLEX is expanding the available electronic resources and tools for meeting planners to utilize. Our goal is to assist the planners as they promote their meeting before they arrive and continue to offer our services throughout their visit in conjunction with our industry partners.
